Very pale green gold in colour. Fresh aromas of grapefruit zest and
lemon curd with underlying notes of citrus blossom and hints of stone
fruit. The palate is zesty and textural with a refreshing citrus and
grapefruit acid drive.

The Eden Valley shares its western boundary with the Barossa Valley. The region is of similar size to the Barossa Valley and is well known for making high quality Riesling and Shiraz wines. First established by Englishman Joseph Gilbert in 1847, Eden Valley has a sub-region called High Eden that is located higher in the Barossa Ranges and is generally between 400 metres and 600 metres above sea level.

Soil in the Eden Valley is rocky and acidic, winter rainfall is abundant, averaging 255mm per annum more than the Barossa Valley, whilst temperatures are cooler and the growing season is longer. The Eden Valley is home to Yalumba’s first Viognier plantings as well as our fine cool climate Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon
