The Barossa Valley vineyard landscape is remarkably diverse. Fortunate to have mates growing grapes all over this place, I’m able to make different wines showcasing many faces of Barossa Valley Shiraz. Named after the legendary, multifaceted Roger Bilmore!“Our Bilmore Shiraz is sourced from vineyards along thewestern ridge of the Valley floor…an area stretchingsouth of Seppeltsfield Road, around the back of the golfclub at Rowland Flat and then on through the parish ofGomersal that overlooks the southern township ofLyndoch. Shiraz grown in these parts produces richlyflavoured wines with soft, round mouth feel and plenty ofdelicioussavoury characters. Seeking to place a pureexpression of Shiraz flavour center stage here, we’ve goneeasy on the oak using only older, seasoned barrels for thejob of maturing for around 12 months.
