The Raventós family, a leading, world-renowned winegrowing dynasty, has lived on this estate since 1497 at the very least. Twenty-one generations have worked this land, 90 hectares of vines, forest and lake, with a specific microclimate influenced by the river, a lake, two streams and a hill known as the Turó del Serral.
The winery is particularly recognized for its production of sparkling wines, most notably Cava. However, it’s important to note that in recent years, Raventós has made the decision to step away from the Cava appellation and focus on producing their own unique sparkling wines that reflect the terroir of their vineyards.
Raventós employs organic and biodynamic farming practices in their vineyards, emphasizing sustainability and respect for the environment. They have vineyards planted with traditional grape varieties such as Macabeo, Xarel·lo, and Parellada, as well as international varieties like Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
