Quintessentially McLaren Vale Shiraz. Harvested from a small vineyard of craggy, gnarled Shiraz vines planted in 1953 upon the soils of an old riverbed.
This block is situated between the winery and the road running along our southern boundary, known for over 100 years as Ellen Street.
Every year these vines bear some of the most concentrated fruit on the estate, however in very small quantities, with an average crop of less than 2 tonnes per acre.
