The GMH label represents wines made from parcels of hand-selected, premium fruit from sustainably managed vineyards around South Australia. The GMH brand name reflects Geoff’s initials and was originally made for the Canadian export market. Today, the wines are exported to several countries and also sold domestically.
The wines may be expressions of a single vineyard or regional blends, and are all excellent examples of dynamic South Australian viticulture and winemaking. As well as single varieties, the GMH label also offers wine blends similar to those produced in the old world, including our classic ‘Meritage’ blends.
In 2012 and 2014, Winestate Magazine named Wines by Geoff Hardy as its Australian Winery of the Year. Australia’s most prominent wine writer, James Halliday, has also rated Wines by Geoff Hardy as a 5 red star winery, a top rating only awarded to 10% of wineries in his Wine Companion.
