he mysterious nature of Galicia, the combination of Atlantic and continental climates, Castaño and Jara, holds within itself an exceptional wine.
The origin of viticulture in this region is a mystery. We like to think of Roman gold mines or the number of important monasteries and convents and their influence on the viticulture of Galicia. But the true origin is the man who moves tons of earth and stone to make these beautiful vineyards a reality.
In 2002, we began our work, under the tutelage of the local viticulturists who have been working and trimming these stubborn vines for generations.
Phylloxera blighted some of the original vineyards and some empty plots, abandoned for over a century, gave us the opportunity to replant the old vineyards. In this region, co-planting is essential, and we cultivated a number of varieties, including Merenzao, Sousón, Treixadura, Godello Tinto, Brencellao, Doña Blanca and Palomino…
Falcoeira, As Caborcas and O Diviso have helped us to understand the complexity of the region.
23 hectares of stubborn and difficult vineyards are a testament of our dedication to this magical place.
