Saint-Emilion, in the middle of the 19th century, the ghost of a black horse working in the vines…
Fantastically brave, powerful and elegant, recognized by all to ensure quality and success for each harvest. Thus the legend was born of the great wines of Cheval Noir, pure and perfect expression of this exceptional soil.
Appearing in 1895, the name of Cheval Noir is among the oldest of Bordeaux. Acquired in 1937, Cheval Noir is the first estate owned by the Mähler-Besse family whose estates, chosen amongst the most beautiful of the Bordeaux region, currently includes Haut-Médoc, Saint-Emilion or even Saint-Estèphe.
The prestigious vintage, Château Cheval Noir, leaning entirely towards excellence, embodies this approach. Set in the soil of St Emilion, this estate of 6 hectares created in 2008 a cellar that combines state-of-the-art technology and a passion for wine.
Produced to a high standard and with passion, the wines of Cheval Noir offer to all wine enthusiasts a pleasurable, delightful and delicate experience.
