Presentation of the estate
The Bordeaux appellation is a regional AOC produced in all the vineyards of Bordeaux. The vineyard is 42 600 ha and produced 2,236,700 hl throughout the growing zone of the Gironde department. This AOC is the appellation of Bordeaux’s largest and best-selling worldwide. It meets quality standards set by the INAO (Institut National des Appellations d’Origine). This regional designation is so broad that it covers a wide range of soils. Château Grand Meynau is a family owned estate of 30 hectares situated on clay/ limestone hilltops that dominate the Dordogne valley. Enjoying a beautiful terroir and an optimal exposure, this Château produces quality wines regularly rewarded in competitions.
