Appearance:
very intense, beautiful ruby red hue.
Nose:
the nose is powerful and shows great finesse. The alternation of strawberry jam aromas and spicy/peppery notes creates a very pleasant bouquet.
Palate:
floral then spicy (pepper) notes on entry. The wine displays a superb tannic structure and lovely long-lingering flavours.
he Chapoutier family have produced wines in the Rhône Valley since 1808. Michel Chapoutier, currently in charge, has combined tradition with a dynamic, creative approach and makes some of the best wines of the region.
Gigondas has sandy molasses, clay or old alluvial deposits with shingles and grows wine in a similar style to neighbouring Chateauneuf du Pape.
